Project Need

A land development consulting client required an environmental compliance review for a 114-acre industrial site in Reserve, Louisiana. To support future development and meet Clean Water Act requirements, the client needed a delineation of wetlands and watercourses to evaluate potential federal jurisdiction under U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) oversight.

Services Completed

Lord & Winter performed a wetland delineation and watercourse determination in accordance with USACE guidance. Field data was documented using Wetland Determination Forms and compiled in a formal report. With client authorization, the findings were submitted to the USACE New Orleans District for jurisdictional concurrence. Additional services included a site walk, agency coordination, and responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).

Issue Resolved

The assessment confirmed the presence of jurisdictional aquatic resources, helping the client maintain compliance with federal environmental regulations. Lord & Winter’s work supported clear permitting pathways and ensured the project stayed aligned with regulatory expectations from the outset.
