A manufacturer owned by a European company, operating in North America, required a defined and measurable Corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) biodiversity assessment for strategic planning and investor reporting. Manufacturing facilities in eight North American states were selected for the biodiversity planning launch.

Services Completed

Lord and Winter collaborated closely with European and North American leadership and facility teams to draft a North American Biodiversity Plan that uses comparable metrics to those used in the corporation's European facilities. The plan was customized to include updated species references, local language, habitat types, and biomes relevant to the North American region. Additionally, facility-specific maps were created using QGIS software to identify existing infrastructure and potential areas for biodiversity representation.

Issue Resolved

The North American manufacturing facilities received a facility-specific biodiversity plan as a guide for implementing a biodiversity program using local staff.
