Project Need


Environmental due diligence was needed for acquisition of two parcels totaling 13.27 acres and planned for development of the Shoppes of Kemah. The Shoppes of Kemah is a $16M, 89,000 SF shopping center developed by GBT Realty, Inc. and featuring Petco, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, ULTA, and Rack Room Shoes.

Services Completed


Lord & Winter, LLC completed the site reconnaissance, historical and environmental data review, reviewed historical sources from 1938 forward, interviewed sellers representatives, conducted an environmental lien search, and completed other innocent land owner requirements for “Innocent Landowner Liability Protections” under CERCLA.

Issue Resolved


As a result of the work the client acquired the property under standard due diligence and innocent land owner requirements and continued forward on planning the development of the Shoppes of Kemah.
