Project Need

A logistics company required environmental due diligence services to acquire a large trucking logistics hub located in the north Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The Subject Property had been an abandoned trucking terminal for freight transport. It included a fueling facility with 30,000-gallon Underground Storage Tanks (USTs). A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment was needed within ten business days to satisfy the requirements of the commercial lender.

Services Completed

The Lord and Winter Team conducted the site reconnaissance and ordered the historical environmental database search, fire insurance maps, and aerial photographs to assess the environmental business risk.

Issue Resolved

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Report was completed within seven business days. The report included ASTM 1527 requirements and detailed USTs observed at the property. The final assessment, which met the project schedule, included all necessary information to satisfy the environmental business risk review required by the commercial lender and client.
