Wetland & Watercourse Delineation in College Station

Environmental Compliance - Texas
Wetland and watercourse delineation in College Station, Texas — environmental consultants conducted field surveys for development planning.

Project Need

A 43-acre site in College Station was being evaluated for future commercial development. Before construction could proceed, the developer needed to identify potential wetlands and watercourses on the property to determine federal jurisdiction and ensure compliance with natural resource regulations.

Services Completed

Lord & Winter conducted a wetland delineation and watercourse determination following U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Fort Worth District guidance. Fieldwork included data collection, wetland boundary flagging, and identification of Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) features. An Aquatic Resource Delineation Report was prepared to summarize findings and provide professional opinions on the presence of jurisdictional aquatic resources.

Issue Resolved

The delineation and reporting process provided the developer with critical information on wetlands and streams within the study area. This allowed for proactive project planning, reduced regulatory uncertainty, and laid the groundwork for agency concurrence and future permitting needs.
