Knoxville Stormwater Compliance

Project Need

A commercial logistics company operating an 11-acre site in Knoxville, Tennessee needed to maintain compliance with the Tennessee Multi-Sector General NPDES Permit for Industrial Activities (TMSP). To meet ongoing regulatory requirements, the site required stormwater inspections and updated compliance documentation.

Services Completed

Lord & Winter prepared an addition to the facility’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to formally designate the site’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Team. The L&W team also conducted quarterly visual inspections of stormwater discharges following qualifying rain events and completed the site’s required annual comprehensive compliance evaluation, including a review of pollutant sources and control measures.

Issue Resolved

By updating the SWPPP and completing required inspections, Lord & Winter ensured the site remained in compliance with TMSP requirements. The work addressed documentation gaps and helped the facility meet both state and federal stormwater regulations, reducing the risk of non-compliance.
